There have been so many crazy, unexplainable things going on in this world lately, it's a wonder I'm still sane!
Last week, a co-worker in our Denver office was killed by her boyfriend before taking his own life. That very following weekend, the same thing happened here in town, with the boyfriend shooting his girlfriend before driving his car off the Royal Gorge to his death.
A dad shot his 8 year old daughter before trying and failing to take his own life here in town. Then the mom who drove her mini-van into a river in NY/NJ with her children strapped into their seats. Another mom and her aunt bound her 20 month old daughter with electrical tape and then tried to drown her in a toilet in Colorado Springs last week.
What the hell is wrong with these people? This world seems to have lost its sense of right, of morality, of compassion. What would drive a person to take another life when it isn't in self-defense? Especially someone you proclaim to love? Especially a person your brought into this world?
I will never understand it.
