I just got an e-mail from a friend of mine from the town I grew up in. Normally we exchange e-mails several times a year, but I haven't heard from her since last year. I sent her an e-mail yesterday and got a reply today.
Her kids are not just in high school, but her son will be a senior this year and her daughter a sophomore! Holy cow! Where has time gone? By the time I have kids (fingers crossed), my kids and her kids will be in different generations, even though their parents are about the same age. How crazy is that??
It was good to hear from her, but wow. It was quite the eye-opener.
